Hi, I’m

Cody Johnson, LCSW

I work with teens, young adults, and parents who feel stuck in patterns that aren’t working — behavior struggles, family conflict, emotional shutdown, or uncertainty about what comes next.

My role is to help people slow things down, understand what’s really happening beneath the surface, and move forward with more clarity and steadiness — without pressure or performative therapy.

How I Work

I’m grounded, direct, and collaborative.

I don’t push people to change faster than they’re ready, and I don’t believe in forcing insight or motivation. Instead, we focus on understanding the stress, reactivity, or disconnection underneath the behavior — and building practical ways to respond differently.

Sessions often focus on:

  • Emotional regulation

  • Family dynamics and boundaries

  • Motivation and direction

  • Navigating school, legal, or treatment-system stress

My approach blends somatic awareness, mindfulness, and straightforward tools that work in real life. Some clients meet in-office, while others benefit from movement-based or outdoor sessions when appropriate.

My Background

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

  • Nearly 20 years supporting teens, young adults, and families across schools, community programs, and clinical settings

  • Experience with court-involved youth, higher levels of care, and complex family systems

  • Training in somatic therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care

Outside of work, I value simplicity — books, records, quiet trails, and time away from noise.
